I was just wondering when alot of you got back you period after having baby, and still nursing. My daughter will be one on Friday and and I just started today for the first time since before I was pregnant. I guess I just thought you wouldnt have one until you stoped nursing.
That sounds like my experience. Depended on my weight -- if I was heavier, it came back sooner, when I was lighter it came back later. Also depends on how much you're nursing. Sounds like you're right in the normal range.
My last 2 kids, with extended nursing, I got my period back somewhere around 15-17 months after they were born....and then got pregnant again within a few months!
I got mine back when my daughter was 4 months. I had to get surgery 3 months after ahe was born because they left some of the placenta behind so I bled for 3 months straight. Then I had a month off lol and then got my period.
yea it does suck cuz I wasnt planning on getting mine! Everyone told me that you dont get it while you breastfeed so I totally wasnt expecting it...darn.
I am still nursing my 16-month-old son and I got my period after he turned a year. I thought the same as you did. Why did I get my period while I am still nursing him? It turned out that it is different for everybody.
My husband had actually wanted me to quit nursing, because he thought the same thing, and we wanted to get pregnant again (last time, not this time, but we got pregnant again this time too!), but we ended up getting pregnant almost exactly when we had wanted to (when ds was 18mo), even though I was still nursing.
I'm still nursing and I just got my period. My son is 71/2 months. Has anyone noticed that getting your period lowered your mild productions? As soon as I starting getting cramps a few days before my peirod, my milk productions lowered.
