Okay, I know I am not a perfect mom, and I have plenty of these confessions, but now I feel terrible. We try to brush my 4 1/2 year old's teeth, we do, I mean, dang it is hard to get in that mouth with a toothbrush, LET ALONE FLOSS. I've taken him to all his appts and they always give that little sheet with the areas you need to work on..neve any major issues. Plus, we try to get any areas they say to concentrate on.
So NOW, he goes to the dentist, they say he has EIGHT cavities. EIGHT, all the molars. WHAT? He needs fillings, two appts for them cuz they dont like to numb both sides of his mouth. I mean, when he was two he had his tonsils out, then he had eye surgery at four, and now. I feel terrible.
I guess I am hoping to see if anyone else has these brushing issues, or if they just try to do a somewhat good job or what, or if I am alone in this. I mean, geez, they said it was the flossing? Flossing in that tiny mouth, again I say, very difficult! |
