My son has a hard time staying asleep at night and taking naps. If he naps with me he falls right asleep and stay asleep he's hungry. As for sleeping at night, he normally falls asleep with little trouble, but wakes up very easily. (light noises) I would love tips on how to get him on a good nap schedule, having him falls asleep on his own and how to help him sleep through the night. Thanks |

My advice, stay on a rutine. Find out what your baby likes to do and stick to it every day. Babies love rutine. this is whar we do: eat dinner, bath, play a little, read books (more pictures less words, goodnight book) even if we repeat the same story 3 times. By the time she finishes reading she falls sleep w/o a fuzz. Other moms has try the "cry it ou" method. I will take some time to find yours, whatever works for your little one. Just be patient. Good luck. |

Hi Cecilia,
Veronica is right. Put her on a sleeping/nap schedule. When my daughter was around your daughters age she would only take naps in my arms. And when it came time for bedtime I had to rock her to sleep before putting her in the crib. My daughter is now one and definetly on a schedule. I started out slow I did a mix of methods. I did the cry out too (which I hated but I tried it anyway) My schedule is this: Once it's nap time - she lets me know by rubbing her eyes etc... so I bring her to her room I play her night time music turn off the lights and I give her a warm bottle of milk. If she passes out cool if not I still put her in the crib. Sometimes she crys but it doesn't last long. (maybe one minute) and sometimes she will just look at me and lie down and close her eyes - but she now takes a 2 hour nap all by herself. She has even learned how to put herself back to sleep in the middle of the night. Sometimes you have to just leave them alone and let them figure it out. JEEZZZZ that sounds so mean. Anyway good luck. I do the same routine for bedtime.

try putting some soft music in his room while he sleeps to help drown out the noises. i have been playing a cd in my daughters room since she was 2 months old. i also did the cry it out method and i only had to do it for about 2 naps about 20 min at the most and my the 3rd nap it took her less than 5 min to put herself to sleep. hope you find something that works for you. good luck. |

there is also white noise: the sound of the fan, humidifier, or a CD of white noise. Like the sound of fountains and nature is good. |

I have a noise machine and the white noise really helps my little girl sleep. It drowns out all the other noises - i would highly recommend it! |
