Hey Ladies Its me again on this subject. My son is 28 moonths old and he goes pee on the potty when I sit him on it . I cant seem to get him to tell me he has to go . I ask him he usually just says no then sometines he'll say yes and of course I put him on and he doesnt have to go. Any one else have this problem or hints. Laura |

My son was the same way when he turned 2, he wanted to sit on the potty, but didn't always tell me when he had to go. So one day I bought him some underwear (a lot of underwear), he helped me toss out all his diapers and I explained that he was a big boy and it was time he used the big boy potty. I put the underwear on and all day reminded him to tell me when he had to go potty. If he had an accident I still put him on the potty after and explained that he needed to tell me when he had to go. We went through a lot of underwear the first day, but the second he had less accidents and by the fifth he was potty trained. |

Morning Ladies...........
One thing I did with my boys was putting Cheerios in the toilet and telling them to aim for them. They took it as a game and enjoyed it. They really did not want to wet themselves after that because they knew that they would not be able to 'shoot' the cheerios. I would just put less than a handful. With the girls, it was easier than that. The oldest girl was easier that the boys out together, but it took about 6 hard months. The baby girl only took half that time. She saw her big sis going to the potty and she wanted to do the same. She just turned 2 on June 06, and she is fully trained!! |

For his poop, it was a bit messier. But my son's are pretty hard. When he had an accident he would help me put it in the toliet and he would flush it, waving as it went down. Actually, getting him to sit on the potty when he had to poop was easier than when he had to pee. He only had a couple accidents with poop. And for at night we used pull ups. I would put him on the potty right before he went to bed, then wake him an hour later and put him on again and put him on right when he wakes up. He still has occational accidents at night, but most of the week wakes up dry. |

Oh, I forgot. I would give him a reward everytime he went in the potty. Just something small, for every pee in the toliet he would get to put a sticker in his sticker book and for every poop he would get to put 2 in his book. I also would cheer everytime he went, you know the over the top cheers that kids love:) It was frusterating at first, expecially the first day, cleaning up his accidents, but it worked fast. |

The underwear helped with my son cuz they would leak and he would feel wet, unlike diapers. It helped him connect the feeling of having to pee with peeing. |
