Just wanted to introduce myself :)
Hi. I am a stay at home mother of 1 with another one on the way. We are new to Modesto and fairly new to this website. I thought this group sounded interesting and potentially beneficial. Being a wife and mother always comes first in my life and often that doesn't leave any "me time". I think over the past 5 years I have become so consumed by all my responsibilities to my family that I have forgotten that I have a resonsibility to myself as well and that is to stay in touch with me, set aside a little time in the day for me. I would love to find a way to do that without feeling guilty.

Lisa,
Guilt seems to be a common issue for women! I actually started a discussion on it earlier in the group...you should look into it! The reason why I started the discussion in the first place is because I have felt that guilt as well, it becomes annoying! Yet, I really try to live from a different place than that...I have 5 children and so I think I was forced to see the reality of my needs... or I would be exhausted! I like to think of these short refreshers as my 15 minute breaks, that if we SAHMs were employed we would be entitled to by law! Set that time for you Lisa...your whole family will benefit from a refreshed and energetic mother!
Glad to meet you!
Jennifer
