Hi everyone! Just found this group and wanted to join in. I'm a stay-at-home mom with 2 children ages 2 and 3! Yikes! Yes, I do have my hands full. I've been looking for something to do at home to have some extra money for myself. I became a rep with Southern Living at Home back in October. The products are great, the company and support I get are great, I'm just having a problem getting bookings! : 0 I've also started creating Diaper Cakes just for craft shows and anyone that's interested by word of mouth. I'm open to suggestions on getting more parties booked with Southern Living at Home. I don't want to give up on it just yet. |

More bookings? I know what you mean. I am a consultant for the pampered chef and I am in the same boat. If you find a way let me know. Good luck in your business. |

Hi Kim, I did Usborne for a while and then it dried up...I have friend in Pampered Chef and she's very creative...she's doing a Christmas in July party where there is a mystery host (who gets the show credits) and everyone earns raffle tickets to become the host by different activities (booking a show, bringing a friend, getting there early, etc). I thought that was clever.
I did like my Usborne Business, but I got burnt out on it and didn't want to do any more home parties! I find people get burnt out on the home party circuit in about a year!
So, I decided to truly work from home with a Wellness Company, I earn a check each month and I don't have to go out to earn money! I just refer people to this great store and the company does the rest!!! It's awesome, and the best part is my customers shop each and every month...so, it's a true residual income.
If you want to try something in tandem to what you are doing while you are working on getting more bookings, take a look at my marketing sites: www.healthymomsandkids.com and http://happy.makemoreathome.com and request more information...it comes directly to me!
You don't need to give up on Southern Living at Home, just try something new and help others go green!

Hi Kim! I am also a stay at home mom. I work for a wellness company which is awesome. I do not have to do bookings for parties for that, but I also have my own jewelry company (which I do parties), and I found this site (the link is below) that has a lot of great ideas. I hope that helps you. Good Luck!

Hi Kim,
I also work at home and am an independent consultant District Manager for Arbonne International. I have a 2 year old with one on the way. I do parties/classes with Arbonne and usually offer some incentives like raffles and mystery host parties which I hold in my own home. I also do theme parties, such as makeovers and margaritas, spa nights. But I know where you are coming from with getting more parties booked. I keep trying to be creative in my effort. I live in New England and at this time of year, people are in vacation mode. Hang in there and don't give up!!!
To Your Success,

Hi Kim, I just found this group also and may have a few ideas for you. I too work from home and have found it very successful to network with others working from home to learn how to help each other in our respective businesses. Often this opens up opportunities for new customers through word of mouth and just truly helping each other with referals. Attend Women's Events and pick up business cards to contact these people to let them know of perhaps a special promotion your company is having for a particular time. The Health and Wellness Co. I partner with is such that we work with other business builders to help grow. Hope this helps! Please feel free to contact me at http://Lisa.moms-sos.com. |
