I sing to her and she sings back, then she falls asleep once she gets comfortable. she usually feels for my mouth while im singing to her. Im guessing that is her way of getting comfort.
When my kids were babies, they loved when I patted their heiny until they fell asleep.. Strange I know.. But it was soothing to them for some reason! Lol
We cuddle a little bit but then we leave the room so they can put themselves to sleep. If they get to crying more than a wimper of thats not what I want then I'll go back in and tell them they are ok but they need to go to sleep. If they are less than 6 months I'll pick them up and maybe nurse them to calm them down. When they are older(1 1/2) I try not to pick them up again but they like thier backs rubed. We also have music in thier room at nap and night and that helps.
We give him a bath then get his milk ready and microwave it when that beeps he runs to his rum I sit in the rocking chair and rock while he drinks then I read him 1 book 2 if he is still hyper lay him in bed and if he crys I leave him alone. He is out within 5 mins. And he will sleep 12 to 8 hours a night (depending on his growth spurts)
