I fulltime breastfed both my girls the full six months. It is very hard when your on the go. I got ridiculed all the time and suffered major PPD after my first. I couldnt continue with my second because she was extremely malnurished by 5 months old and I only continued because WIC and everyone else kept telling me "you have to, its the best thing". Sometimes, its just not. |

i breastfed for the first almost 9 months. then it was mostly just to get her to sleep, like for comfort. finally it was just at bedtime, and by 15months i could get her to sleep withouth nursing. it is hard, but i'm a stay at home mom, so it wasnt too inconvenient for me. of course people did kind of judge because it took so long to break her of it. but i think that people let their kids go to bed with bottles up til 2 years and sometimes longer, so breast feeding a little longer is ok. |

My oldest was 16 months when I broke her, she bit me once to many with a mouth full of teeth. My second started weening herself about 9 1/2 months and was done by 11 months, I was sad but by then I knew I was pregnant again. My son is only 7 1/2 months and just started cereal 2 weeks ago so I'll let him go as long as he wants, hoping it past 1 though. |
