My mom was against it, being that she had me naturally~ but I am SO glad I had one! I felt that i was able to enjoy the experience more so than if I was in pain. I never had any complications from it, and if I had another baby, I would get it again! :)

I knew I wanted to try all natural, but as soon as the pain was super serious I gave in and begged for one, my nurse said to me "first I have to see how far along you are", well, I was at a 10 and my daughter was born two pushes later. Never got the chance!

I was hoping for an all natural but as soon as the contractions with all the pain I said "give it to me"! It was nice to finally rest since I hadn't slept in 2 days because of lower back pain she was giving me. I ended up having a C-section anyways and I love everything about being a first time mommy!

I had an epidural and it only ended up working on the right side of my body. Of course, that would happen to me! I had the button and kept pressing and after continuing to press it, I realized that I could not move one of my legs AT ALL! I still had lots of pain on the left side and they asked me if I wanted another epidural. I refused only for the simple fact that if one epidural made it so I could not feel my leg in anyway, shape or form, I did not want that to happen to the other one. If and when I have another child, I will still get an epidural and just pray that it works on both sides that time! But, all in all, it was well worth it!

I wanted to see what the contractions felt like so I waited to get the epidural and boy when the pain really kicked in I was screaming down the hall for it! I was induced so they were fast and strong. I had a great epidural I could still move around but had no pain =)

I didn't want to have one, but I was induced at 11 pm and by 5 pm the next day I was only 3 cm, but my contractions were coming non-stop. I couldnt handle it anymore and gave in. Im going to try again to do it natural next time.

If we have another baby, I will deny the epidural. It was absolutely horrible. The anesthesiologist could not find the vein in my spine and put three different catheters in while I was hunched over having contractions every two minutes. They kept telling me not to move, which was close to impossible while having contractions! Absolutely ridiculous.

Throughout my pregnancy I planned a fully natural drug-less delivery. I was blessed with the endurance to withstand the pain (which was like nothing I had ever experienced before or since!) and delivered without an epidural or anything else other than deep breathing and trusting that God would see me through! Praise God for my beautiful healthy baby girl!

I had my daughter natural at 19 years old and it was super scary when the labor got into full swing. At the time of my daughter's birth, I was living in a home for teen moms. All the other girls had, had a Cesarean and had bad labors that lasted forever! I didn't know how I would feel to push my baby out if I couldn't feel anything? I had horrible back labor, but luckily I had a pretty quick labor ( i guess) nine hours from start to finish. I remember feeling like I was going to die and no one could help me. It was just me and god, and you better believe I was praying lol. I felt like one of those dummy stress balls where the ears pop out when I started pushing. not to brag, but I got that baby out in 4 pushes because the agony. It's like pulling off a band aid, would you rather pull it off slowly or quickly. Lamaze went out the window, and I wish I had a water birth.

I had a natural birth. I wouldn't mind getting tattoed from head to toe but you sure as hell ain't sticking a huge, big needle in my SPINE! And after seeing what my friend went through getting the epidural (i was her labor partner) I don't regret a natural birth at all. I have a very high pain tolerance, the pushing was what really hurt.

i had my daughter naturally. my husband was there thru my whole labor, and if we have another child, he told me i should get the epidural. apparently all the screaming got to him after 47 hours in labor including 2 hours pushing. i even used the whirlpool tub at the hospital cuz i wanted a water birth, but i was in so much pain and the jets actually made it worse. gotta say, i might agree with my hubby. my sister had her daughter two weeks after i did. she had an epidural and said she barely felt anything.
