I have to admit I'm completely HOOKED on Jon & Kate Plus 8!!! Anyways after the whole $5/day allowance thing came out, I thought people were just being way to harsh on Kate. What is your/your partners daily allowance, not including groceries & gas??

I'm a SAHM, my husband takes lunch everyday, it's tight enough as is, I probably get less than $5 a week to spend on myself & that's for a cup of coffee.

We don't have an allowance for one another. If one of us want some thing we get it. I'm a SAHM who if I want anything from the store I have to drive to the next town, and the hubbs takes lunch to work. So we plan our trips to town on weekends. once in a while we get a sandwich and go to a park for a family picnic.

My husband usually gives me $20 a week but then when I need money, he gives it to me.

We dont give each other allowances, of course I am more nervous about spending money in case we need it later and he wants to spend it now on whatever we want or like not necessarily need. We try not to spend more than 5 or 10 dollars a day each but its not a rule.

We don't have set allowances but for how tight things are, I tend to make lunch for my husband and we rarely eat out.... BUT I do think that Jon is being a baby isn't he a man, he loves to play the victim... TEAM KATE lol

My situation is the same as Shanelle except we treat ourselves to a burger from Sonic or Mc Donalds instead of a picnic. We have moved to a small town and we have to drive 20 min to do anything so I dont even bother to go out without my husband it just isn't worth the effort to drag my 2 toddlers out of the house. We don't believe in allowances we just buy things when we need them.
