I used it and it worked great for us and I can say that it might not work for some parents....BUT a tired unhappy mama is a unhappy baby

Now that my son is able to hold his own bottle, when I lay him down at night I let him fed himself. Gives me a few minutes myself to brush my teeth ect. Sometimes when he's fighting his sleep I close the door and I left him cry for a few minutes. When I come back I lay him back down stick the binky in his mouth and nighty nighty. It works for me. I was against it but my boyfriend insisted we try it. So I asked the doctor and she gave me the okay.

Why would you do that to someone you love? As for getting time to brush teeth or to get baby to sleep, put the baby in a sling you will get the same results without the trauma to the baby.

Sometimes you have no choice but to let them cry it out. My daughter is never forced to sleep. She goes to sleep when she's ready. She does, however, get so tired and frustrated that crying herself to sleep is the only way. Usually when she's that upset, I lay her down and she's out before I count to 100.
