I didn't vote cause my answer isn't on there...I say its up to the parents. I'm a SAHM and I have NEVER been a morning person so when my son was 2months old and we started our schedule I decided that 9pm would be his bed time and it works great. Now when he gets to be around 4 we will change his a bit so he will be going to bed a bit earlier so he'll be able to go to school. |

This question made me laugh in a kind Mom way. My little girl goes to bed at her hour when she wants. I pray for nights as early as most other parents but her circadium rythm sends her to slumber around 10 or 11 p.m. and then up by 9 a.m. |

Depends on the family. In our house, my husband works from 5pm until somewhere between 3 and 5am, so he sleeps during the day. Early rising just means longer that I'd have to keep the kids quiet for him. I'm not a morning person either, so we've evolved the unusual sleep schedule of kids going to bed at midnight. They get up around 10 or 11 in the morning. |

From day 1 my Son goes to sleep at 7 p.m. (except when we had the time change then he went to bed at 6 p.m. Babies don't care about time changes.)
In the beginning he would wake up for feedings but now he is on a schedule. Dinner at 5 30, brush teeth, bath, bed time. works every time and now at 1yr he will sleep until 7 a.m. be up for 2 hours and go down for a morning nap. In that time I do laundry, vacuum, and water the plants.
I'm a morning person so it works out great. |
