when the dr told me at my sons 12mo check up that we should get rid of it soon I said ok and a week later the bottle was gone....BUT he still has a big sippy of milk just before bed, it helps him chill out before bed.

Our daughter will be two next month and is still on the bottle. Since she has the acid reflux and is lactose intollerent her stomache can only handle her special formula and water and that is all. We even tried lactose free milk and soy milk and that bothered her too. We do hope to get her off the bottle and just on water and liquid supplements as the doctor suggested by the time she is 3. Our son will be 1 next month and is on regular milk during the day and on his formula in the morning and bed time, he has started taking to water too, we found that out when we saw our daugher give him her sippy cup of water and he was sipping away at it, I asked his doctor if it is ok to give him water she said yes in moderation.

We took Sophie to the Big Toy Store and she paid the cashier with her bottle and her passey and then dad ran out as fast as he could while i paid. then it took about 3 days of saying you used it to buy the toy you got.

My older son would never take a bottle and started a sippy cup at 9 months. My 4 month old will take a bottle, but he doesn't have any attachment to it. I weened my older son at 15months from nursing with no problems.

My son was very attached to the bottle so to get him off we threw away all the bottles and gave him sippy cups, but he still wakes up two to three times a night for a sippy cup of milk and also for nap he has to have it. Its nice to see out there that I'm not the only one with this problem!!! If it is a problem i guess. We are going to try just water here in his sippy cup as soon as he is done with his cold and hoping that maybe he wont get up so much cause we are both tired of getting up!

we stopped the bottle and gave him a sippie cup at 24months old. it was pretty easy since he had stared using the sippie cup around 9m/o
