I'm the same boat as Jessica. My son is only 2. So I will talk to him about it when he is able to comprehend it.

Mine are only 10 mo and 22 mo old but as soon as they are able to understand my husband and I will be talking to them about that and all of the other dangers. For now because of all of the child abductions we have our house secured with lots of locks and security cameras in every room covering every angle and our dog. We are very safety conscious.

In my personal opinion i think its one of the worst crimes people can commit. I started looking into ways to protect my 2 girls and came across this awesome program, and wanted to share the information I found. Also I have heard more parents who think it could never happen to me or my kids are too young to talk about it. Statics show that Child abduction is growing at an alarming rate. I would encourage you to do some research on this subject and see all the horrific facts. Did you know the US justice dept put the chance of your child becoming missing at 1 &42. Pretty scarry. I would be happy to share more info with you if you want.

My son is 4 and I always tell him to stay by me or my husband or bad people can get him! I tell him that they can hurt you and you might not ever see us again! That probably isn't the best approach but it freaks me out so much that I just don't want anything to happen to him!
