| I too have 4 children and the first 3 went natural but my fourth one I was getting my tubes tied so I decided to go ahead and get it since they would do that or a spinal and I definitely did not want a spinal. I laughed through the whole pushing part it was great. |

| I went natural both times. They try to make me have one with my first cuz my blood pressure was high, they said it would lower it, but I refused |

| Funny Story, I had one but it didn't work, and I ended up having an emergency c-section any way. they thought I was numb and went to cut my stomach and I was like wait I can feel that so they had to put me to sleep! But I plan to have one next time |

I did not initially want an epideral. I figured natural and if needed the drugs. I worried that the epidural would harm my baby. When i did my hospital orientation, the nurses told me that getting the epidural (baby-wise) was a better choice, minus the possible side effects to mom. They had never seen a an epidural affect a baby but the drugs would cross the placenta. In their past experience, they had to reverse the effects of the drugs on a newborn.
It turned out that my natural delivery went out the window with my back labor pains. Luckily, i was able to sit still long enough for the epidural.
For future deliveries, i will still hope for a natural birth. If it is not possible, i will opt for the epidural. I would rather suffer than my child. |
