Although both my kids are late talkers, their friends were all talking in 3 word sentences by age 2 and for a while it bothered me, but my son is now 2 and is talking in sentences. It's rather cute.

this is a good question cause I wondered the same thing...my son will be 13mo on the 4th and he's just now saying "uice"(juice) and "ish"(fish) and he can say "mama" and "dada" but thats it

My daughter is 21 months and she is starting to use more single words and some two and three word combos.

I think that when kids are 2 they start to talk in small sentances.

my son started two and three word sentences when he turned 2. I stressed about it prior to his 2nd b-day, but especially for boys, around 2 years old is pretty normal.
