not sure what you consider "hard" but I am strict with my 2 boys more so than with the girls. I don't want my boys to slack and fail in school but my SD is good in school I don't have to tell her to read. and the baby well she is way to young. but I wouldn't expect any less... my biggest thing is they are not allowed to waste food.

I dont letmy children waste food either. I want my children to understand we cant live life frivolously, we need to appreciate everything we have. I feel I am strict but to a point. I like my daughter to be responsible for cleaning up after herself, toys and clothes. Overall I think Im reasonable.

I don't think what I do is considered being "hard" on her...just my parenting style. My main thing is that I don't give in to her cries and whines. I make sure she knows I am in control...I refuse to have a child run my day and determine my decisions. That isn't teaching her anything about how the world works (or used to anyway...but that's a topic for another day)...

I only scold my daughter and son by telling them no when they get into something that is dangerous for them like the cords from the lights and tv.
