I think that everyone has the right...or should have the right to be as miserable as the rest of us :-) kidding. i think you love who you love and sex shouldn't matter.

I agree Brenda! :) Everyone should have the right to choose who they want to be with.

It is just a political argument, the issues is already accepted. If you look at TV shows or celebrity there is always a gay character. All the activists interviewed on proposition 8 know that it is a matter of time (short time) before at least they get equal legal rights which is the real injustice!

I don't think anyone has the right to legislate who other people love and want to make a lifetime commitment to.

I voted yes. I think people who are gay have just as much love to share as people who are straight. They have a right to be happy, too.

As far as raising children, I think it's something we are going to have to learn to tolerate. Personally, I'd rather see a same-sex couple nurture and love a child in need (an adopted child, for example) instead of a straight couple neglect or beat their child or flush an unwanted baby down a toilet. And for those parents who dread having to explain to their 5 year old why little Johnny has two mommies, get over it. Tell your 5 year old that his mommies love him very much and take care of him and that's all that matters.
