I started him on rice cereal with formula at 4months and 2weeks after I started that he was on baby food. By 6months he wanted what I had and now at 10months baby food is no longer...I tried to keep him on it as long as I could but he just wants the real thing.

I interpreted solids, as real people food.(not baby food or cereal) so I answered 8 months. They probably got a bite of something here and there earlier than that.. mashed potatoes, applesauce, etc..probably around 6 months.

I started my youngest on rice at 3 weeks. He was a very hungry baby and at 3 months we started baby food.
