I nursed my son less than 3 months. He had thrush and then gave it to me. So I stopped so we would not keep passing it back and forth. I nursed my son only a month.

I am nursing my daughter at the moment she will be 1 in 2 weeks. She is still way too attached to even thing of weening her. I am sure she will one day :)
My son nursed till he was 13 months but he was down to night nursing only and then I was hospitalized for my kidneys and because all the meds I was on we had to stop. But he did good he was drinking milk by then so it was not too bad..... my daughter doesn't really like milk yet so I am guessing it might be a bit longer.
I don't mind she is my last and I love the special time we share while nursing.

My son is four months old now and I plan on nursing until he is 12 months. At that point I will start weening. I nursed ,y daughter until she was 3 1/2 months but had to stop when my milk ran out.

I nursed my son for 13 and a half months, and I would have loved to have gone longer

My 3 1/2 year old was just weaned a few months ago. My 18 month old is still nursing strong and I wouldn't dream of making her stop before she is ready.

All of my children had problems 'latching on'. I tried so hard with my first son that my nipples turned into sores. . .I ended up pumping for about 6 weeks, but I had to return to work and without being able to pump I dried up. . With my twins (the youngest) my milk came really late, so they were already getting formula, so I slacked with them and I think there was definitely a difference. If I could have had it my way, I would have nursed them all until 12 months

I nursed my daughter until she was about 16 months old...maybe a little older. But I would say my nursing limit would be about 2 years.

my daughter is 18 months and still nursing 2-3 times most days.
I will let her decide when to wean, within reasonable limits (I'm crossing my fingers for around 24 months).
Also she's only had one cold ever (around 12 months old), so it really retrospectively supports our decision to do it for health benefits.
