I think it was a very interesting poll. I would like to see what other people spend on their children's clothes.

I usually buy my son's clothes from garage sales or resale shops. Sometime he gets clothes for his birthday and Christmas.

I trade my childrens clothes at consignment stores in the area. It is the only way to go because they grow so fast. New shoes and underwear though. I do buy them a few new things. My daughter gets a lot of nice things from her cousin after she is done.

My monsters are growing so fast and every since I found out about the resale stores here I've been getting things there. But I'll only "splurge" like 12. for a decent pic outfit. hard to spend big bucks on clothes he's only wearing a couple of months or gets stained immediately. I love the resale stores i just got 4 outfits and 1 pair of sneakers for $11! plus if it's new to him it is "NEW"

most of my daughter's clothing has been gifts... for Christmas, birthday, and I supplemented with a few sale items over the summer.
She's been wearing 18 months and 2T size since before she turned 1, and thought she's taller and thinner now, she is still getting away with the same clothes.
I figure, she's going to beg for new clothes all the time when she's older, but right now when she'll still let me dress her, there's no need to go overboard. babies look cute in just about everything you put them in anyway! |

So far we spend about $100.00 on clothes for each child each year but I am postive that that will go up to thousands of dollars each year when they get older and in school. They will probaly want all of the designer clothes so they can fit in. Right now family buys them lots of clothes.

I will probaly ask them to get a job when they are teenagers and want an excessive amount of fancy clothes.
