When I see "unknown", "private" or "political" on the caller ID, I simply don't answer.

I had to choose 'OTHER' because the calls I've gotten have been recordings of the politicians.

I screen calls durring the day and let the answereing machine pick up. If it's a telemarketer I just say "please put us on your do not call list."

ditto on the unknown callers, I choose not to answer any of those!

Lately, I've only gotten recordings. However, I plan on telling whoever it is that I switched political parties...or that I don't vote. Then I hang up...LOL.

it depends on how many times I've seen the number call my house...I've had one number call me 2 times a day for a few days(I don't normally answer) and finally I answered and told them to take me off their list, the next day I get a phone call from them and I tell them if they call me again I will get a lawyer and fix it so they won't call me again

I only answer the phone when I recognize the name on the caller id.

I picked "other" because I leave my home phone unplugged due to this reason. I only use it for my home security system. As of yet, I don't get solisiters (abc?) on my cell phone. But the other day a friend did. How anoying!!!

I use my answering machine to screen my calls so I just don't pick up what I don't want to answer. However, I have not yet received one political call - go figure.

I don't receive political phone calls because we only have a cell phone.

We don't have a house phone so we don't get them.

I'm a brat with these phone calls. But we have fun with it. We had one guy sit on hold for over an hour. We kept setting the phone down walking away from it after we told the guy hold on a minute let me find whoever you are looking for. We do the same thing with solicitors. Politicans are liars and if offered enough money they will say screw the people the are voted for by and do what they want.

I use them as a win-win situation. They want to speak with potential voters, and my young kids love hearing another voice on the phone. Just because it will be over a decade before my kids can vote doesn't mean that I won't give the solicitor the opportunity to gain a vote in the far future.

I normally don't answer if I don't know the number or if it is private, or unknown.
