My Daughter LOVES SpongeBob! She even is getting to the point where she will interact with it. If they are running a race she'll cheer them on or if they go to sleep she'll say "SpongeBob go nite-nite". It's so cute!! She also loves to read and play outside. |

I don't see how Spongebob made the list when SO MANY other quality educational shows could have. Spongebob is not a toddler show, and toddlers shouldn't be allowed to watch it. It's discusting show that I wouldn't even let my 10 year old (if I had a 10 year old!) watch. Spongebob is a zero when it comes to the education scale. Don't get me wrong my daughter see's Spongebob on a blanket and she know's who he is, thanks to my husband, and that's fine but I would NEVER let her watch the show.
I let my daughter pick one to two shows from the noggin network, or something equivelent, to watch per day. One hour of TV a day and that's enough!!! Anything longer than that and she will look at TV as something she has to have everyday... not a priveledge. We also do Jumpstart computer preschool for 40 minutes everyday. For those parents who are truely interested in teaching their children at home I would highly suggest this program. My daughter loves it and asks to play her "game" all the time!!! |

I see nothing wrong with Spongebob and I don't believe parents should be attacked for what they let their child watch. To each his own! That being said my daughter loves The backyardigans and has well since birth, she had acid reflux very bad and would spend every night screaming, we would put the backyardigans on, sit on the recliner and she would calm right down.. they are my savior! LOL She loves watching other shows too, Miss Spider, Mickey Mouse clubhouse. We have 2 tv educational games for her and 2 for the computer, they are nice but my 2 year old just doesn't get them right now, she likes to watch whats happening on the screen or hit the keys but I don't think she gets that it goes together |

my son is only 10 months but he LOVES spongebob. We are going to be doing his 1st bday party with spongebob. BUT we do watch either Nick or Disney everyday. Some shows he likes better than others but when he hears the spongebob theme song he gets SOOOO excited. And BTW the poll is called What is your Toddlers favorite tv show? not which show is most educational? Lighten up! |

My 3yr old's first love is Scooby Doo, followed by Mickey Mouse. Out of the list I think right now he likes Spongebob the most. Kids that young like Spongebob cause he's loud and crazy. The show moves quick and he screams alot. These are all great attention getters for short attention spans. |

none of my daughter's favorites are on here.. she'll watch spongebob, but her choices are Handy Manny, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, imagination movers... pretty much all of the playhouse disney lineup every morning, she watches that while she eats breakfast, than for the most part during the rest of the day the television is just background noise. |

I don't agree with many "children" shows today. I only let him watch a Disney Movie on VHS/DVD (approximately every other day) and I have Sesame Street recording daily on my DVR for when we are on the family TV. |

Toddlers watching Sponge Bob? Really?
Sorry maybe its just me but that doesn't seem very much like a toddler show.. unless you consider 7 or 8 to be a toddler...
We'll stick to Sesame Street and Blues Clues for now.. |

I dont think there's anything wrong with watching spongebob, of course it's not educational. It's just a Fun/Funny show! My daughter loves it. Plus kids educate better from interacting in person so as long as your educating your child then they can watch a fun show! Just dont let the TV raise your kid. |

BC is our favorite along with Curious George and Sesame Street, but she really likes to watch River Monsters with me. Barney made her cry and I don't like Spongebob, so those weren't options. Until recently, we didn't get some children's programming so we are expanding what we watch. |
