I didn't answer, because nothing really applied to me. I actually quit smoking a month before we ended up conceiving. Haven't touched one since...

I clicked I quit when I found out but I had actually quit a month before I found out and I was only 4weeks at that point. I had been trying to quit for years and it was just so hard. My husband actually quit a week before I did so it was alot easier to quit then....he got the stop smoking shot it worked great for him, I used a pill to help me quit but I only took it a week.

I never smoked. But i did give up all caffine and alchohal. Can anyone tell me why us mother have to give up everything for the well bing of our children, but the fathers can keep on doing what they are doing. My husband drank both in front of me...knowing that i couldn't partake.

I found out as a teen that smoke makes my allergies flare and I can't breath, so I never could smoke let alone be around it.

Smoking never appealed to me. I don't drink. But I didn't quit caffine. I am a major caffine addict. I did cut down to 3-4 cups of coffee a day (not kidding--this was way less than I am used to). My doctor approved that it would not be harmful. Later during the pregnancy coffee just didn't appeal to me that much and heartburn got me to only drink a small cup in the morning and that was it. Now that my little Piper Cub is 2 I am drinking just as much coffee as ever just to keep up with her! LOL.

Lol. It's funny how people that have never smoked before think they have to tell those of us who have how they would never do it and how disgusting it is. The percentage of mom's who did smoke quit when they found out they were pregnant so why lecture. To all of the mom's like me who quit for good after being pregnant "good for you".

My OB told me to just cut down. She said it would add more stress to the baby if I quit. I suppose if there were any complicatons or concerns they would have told me to quit. Both my children were full term and good birth weights. my son was almost 8 lbs and my daughter was 7 lbs.

I used to smoke when I met my husband, but he was really against it and made it his personal mission to get me to quit. A year before we got pregnant he finally succeeded. I'm glad, because it would have been harder trying to quit cold turkey. Hes a good one.

I've never smoked - it just was anything that ever appealed to me. My husband smoked a lot, but he quit when our oldest turned one. As for caffeine, I gave it up during the first and second trimesters. I have a history of miscarriages, and didn't want to risk it. Once I hit the third trimester in both my pregnancies, I allowed myself one Dr. Pepper a day.

I could never imagine any mother putting a cig to your mouth while pregnant! Would you give a child a cig? How selfish and HOW immature for anyone to write a respose defending smoking while pregnant!
