The only trip that we are able to take for the next century, is our wedding trip down to Branson MO and honeymoon and we are taking our son with us. But we have both sets of grandparents coming with us so hopefully we will get a break.
We have done several road trips, one or two plane trips. I would LOVE to do a train trip. I recorded a program on it but still need to make time to watch it.
Thanks, that is very useful. We are flying a lot because my husband is currently based in Spain, and I have to fly to see my family- it is tiring and has some "challenging" moments but it is the choice we made. I have a blog about traveling with babies to share information and make it easier- http:babyjetsetter.blogspot.com
Last summer when she was only 3 months old, we drove up to St Ignace, and rented a gorgeous 3 bedroom 2 bath home right on the water practically right next to the Mackinac Bridge. It was GREAT! Both my mom and mother in law came up. Went to Mackinac, hung out at the house and swam. It was a nice trip. My husband and I like to take two trips a year. One with his kids and one without. Last year, our trip without we went to Chicago with my husbands brother and his wife. Just the four of us. This year, our trip without the kids we are still going to have Issie. We are going to Seattle to visit my brother. I want him to meet his niece! Yes we are going to fly!
We have flown and done road trips. When we flew we only took our son who was 7 mo at the time. We had my grandparents watch our 1 1/2 year old daughter. We drive with them all of the time 3 hours up to and home from my husbands family's cottage.
