Since my husband has a full time job and I am the sahm, I do all the housework because I consider taking care of our son and the housework, my full time job x2

My husband does do work around the house (and all the yard work), but because I stay at home,it is my job to do most of it.

I do the majority of the housework as I am a SAH wife/mommy. I feel that is my contribution to our family in lieu of a salary and I take pleasure in providing that for my husband. That being said, he will do the dishes or laundry with no complaints or hestitation if I've had a particularly rough week, not feeling well, etc.

our house keep that 'lived in feel' I don't ever over clean and don't recomend eating off the floors ;) lol

I let the living room (boy's play room) get messy until you can't walk without stepping on something then I clean...the rest of ythe house I try to maintain a level of tolerability just in case someone comes over (which rarely happens) but our bedroom is a vortex of doom...besides the clutter, the boys like to help liberate the clothes when I fold them and put them in drawers...so sometimes we have clothing mountians to climb on and jump ontro our bed.

Melissa your place sounds like mine LOL. My kids are 2 and 5. YES a 2 yr old boy that made a big difference. Our daughter is 5 she can make messes to but not like her brother even when she was his age. So I learned a while ago to just let some of the housework go.
My husband works long hours and I have been Blessed to stay home with both kids so I don't mind doing most of the housework.
What is nice we will make things a bit easy on me at times with take out and we do mini vacations where we go to a marriott with an indoor pool for 1 or 2 nights. It is great they server buffet breakfast and we go out to eat dinner and they have a kitchenette so all we do is get some stuff for lunches and snack.

I'm a sahm both my boys have health issues so it was important for me to stay at home. I really have no problem doing the house chores since working was not a realistic option for me.
My husband has a full time job, a part time job and tries to get side projects doing web stuff so it doesn't leave much time for him to do a whole lot here. However, if he sees me tired and starting to get grumpy he jumps right in there and tries to finish up.
