Poll: Do you get along with your MIL?

For us it all depends on the day. About half of the time she thinks I'm some sort of vixen heathen who manipulated her son. Other times rumor has it she'll actually say things about what a good mother I am.

Leigh I can completely understand my MIL will give me backhanded compliments to my face and she was wonderful to me until we got engaged then she flipped out, she even took my SIL who was my maid of honor to bye her dress without me.

Believe it or not, I actually get along better with my mil then my own mother at times. And then there are times that I think that I get on her nerves but she doesn't show it. When I trying to tell my niece (whom she watches during the day while her mom is at work) to be careful around my son, there is a 5 year age difference.

I am closer to my mother in law than my own mom, mostly because my mom lives across country and my mother in law lives 20 minutes away.
