I do not get the flu shot, and I will not get it for my daughter. I would rather take the risk of her catching the flu then injecting her with so many toxins. I also don't think they work, I have known too many people get the shot and still get sick evey year. |

I had to have one while nursing my son. But, truthfully, I dislike them, and feel they really don't work like they say. They can even cause you to get ill, doesn't sound fun to me. |

We are not immunizing our daughter with anything except the DTaP. She got her first dose of that a couple of days ago. She will not be in school or daycare and a lot of the things that have immunizations are not deadly and we feel as though a lot of people immunize out of convenience (so they don't have to deal with the illness). Frankly, I hope that I can expose our daughter to a natural form of chicken pox after she is two so that she will have a natural lifetime immunity instead of having to get the shot repeatedly! |

The news just said today that the flu shot this year was only 54 percent effective. So 50/50 chance if you get it and I feel thats the same chance when you dont get it... so nope we wont be getting it. |

I didnt want to give my daughter the flu shot but while i was in there get here DTap shots the doc gave her the flu shot to. I was really mad cause i never told her to give it to her. How i found out was when i looked at her card of her shot and they crossed the flu shot. |

I was afraid to have my daughter get a flu shot but since she has taken it for a few years now she does not get down real bad in the winter like she did before. I have been taking them for years I would not go with out getting one it helps me get thru the winter without getting real sick and if I do get sick it dosen't last as long.

I'd prefer to, but my daughter has a severe egg allergy. A few have told me that there is one that's not egg-based, but my dr. prefers she not. Instead, he recommended to have us (parents) vaccinated and take the basic precautions (ie hand washing, avoidances, etc)

I am still undecided whether or not to give my son the flu shot. I did not give it to him last year and he is 17 months old. |

you can't get the flu from the flu shot it is impossible! BUT you can have a reaction to it and get sick. I don't get the flu shot cause I have the reaction and get sick but I will be getting it for my son this year and we'll see how he reacts. If he's like me(which I hope not) then he'll get sick with a small cold and then I'll know that I won't get him the shot anymore. |

I will not be doing the shot for my son. Both my husband and I had very bad reactions to it. He already gets 3 shots ever 3 months plus an oral. That's too much if you ask me. |

I don't like the flu shots. All they do is give people the flu so they don't get it again, but there are many different kinds of flu and if you give your child the shot they are just going to be sick a week later with the flu and you will miss time from work and other things because you can't take a sick child anywhere unless your mean and want to get other people sick too.

I always get shots for my son. I saw a show once where a parent didnt immunize their child and he got chicken pox. The mom didnt know he was sick yet and took him to the park where he infected another child that got sick from it because he was too young to get that shot. The boy later passed and the parents ended up taking the other Mother to court and she was convicted of murder for kowingly putting other children at risk. That is what makes me get all shots wheither I like them or not and my son may get sick but the shots help to fight off that sickness. |
