We really had fun waiting to find out. It is one of the few true suprises in life! Also had the added benifit that our nursery and baby gear are fun and gender neutral, not all pink all the time.

I really didn't mind either way, but my husband wanted to know so we found out.

No. I was afraid I would spend the rest of my pregnancy assigning my child a personality.

I loved not finding out. My husband convinced me that we should wait and if I wanted to find out with the next one we could. Now I don't think I will with the second. We did a green room and got plenty of green and yellow basics. It was the best surprise.

After all you go through - hearing the heart beat, feeling it kick, and the hicups when I went to bed - I think that waiting to find out till the baby is born is the way to go. One last surprise after is it all done and labor is behind you. You just do the nursery in generic coulors and themes. The best thing is seeing your baby for the first time.

We didn't want to know, but the nurse gave it away without asking if we wanted to know. I was upset!!

Definitely a must. I only had boy names in mind and never even thought of a girls name. It ended up being a boy and I was so greatful for it.

The best surprise I've ever had was not knowing what gender my kids were. It never bothered me to not plan ahead, things turned out fine in the end, I have two little boys and their rooms are perfect little boys rooms, no lack of cars, and transformers.

No for both. There are so little "good" suprises in life. I figured either way I couldn't lose and knew I would be happy no matter what! I now have a little girl (25months) and a little boy (4 months), the best of both worlds!

Yes, I think it is good to talk to the baby in the correct gender . I'm psychologis and I believe it is part of giving identity and history to the baby, so we did and they were right !!!

We wanted to know with our first, as we were stationed over seas and people would be shipping things to us. And all we could get was a "Well if I had to guess it's a girl" low and behold it was a girl. We didn't want to know with baby #2 due Fed 09, but it was very obvious when the tech measured the femur that it's boy!

Im to impatient to wait so long. I wish i had the patience... I would love to be suprised!

We did not want to know because we loved the surprise. At first, our friends and co-workers thought we were goofy, but everyone enjoyed guessing all those months. Everyone (especially us!) loved the surprise.

I needed to know pink or blue.

We didn't want to know because I wanted it to be a surprise and we are not finding out for our second either.

I did want to know the sex. I wanted a boy, and that is what I got. Even if I had not wanted to know, it was very obvious from the ultrasound that it was a boy.

we chose not to find out and thought it was going to be a boy and had a girl and it was an awesome suprise and something to look forward to and helped me get through my tough pregnancy. The only downside was that it was hard to more personalize myself with her because we were calling her IT and choosing names for each sex was hard as well. We got so much grief from everyone not finding out! Out next one we will find out though.
