| I had started a playgroup in my area and believe it or not but the moms were not really interested in meeting but once so I had the raisingthem people erase the group because I had no success. |

| I am part of a playgroup that is wonderful but it is in the town next to us which is 20 minutes away and they hold it at 9 a.m. on Monday mornings so we can not go weekly I wish I had one in my town asnd am actively trying to create one but Michelle is correct in saying that alot of moms are just too busy. |

| I started one in my town almost 3 years ago. At first there were some problems, but after about 4 - 6 months everything was good. It has been a lot of fun, but it is also a lot of work to keep it interesting and to keep moms and kids coming for the play dates. We have a blast every week now. |

| I would love to be part of a playdate. I just have a hard time meeting moms! I'm trying to start one through raising them, but there doesn't seem to be much of an interest. I know a few moms here and there but they are spread around the area (20 min of driving at least in opposite directions). We are from out of state, so it would be nice to have a network of friends. I've always worked outside of the home until I had my son. It was easy to hang out with people at work but now I find it a challenge. I never thought it would be this hard to find friends! |

| I am a moderated for a playgroup, and it has been really tough to get everyone active and motivated. Among the 25 or so members in the group, only about 5 were interacting. I had to delete those who were not responding at all. It is frustrating to put forth effort into something that gets no response back. |

| im in acouple playgroups on meetup.com and looove it...i have met some cool people and have the transition from florida to virginia soooo much easier. |

| id like to be in one and the main thing on my page is i want to meet moms but i live in hollister dont know anyone and almost every person i asked to be a friend didnt respond to me and i cant really find anything here its all in gilroy or morgan hill or salinas WHAT ABOUT US MOMMIES IN HOLLISTER???? i guess i could try to start one but i dont have the house for it and the weather is bad and i dont have the finacial means to start one but i would love to have things at this park close to my house/ apartment. maybe i will start one and then the mommies of hollister come together. yeah................ |

Yes, playgroups are great. I wish when the people sign them they will be active.
I'm trying to start one here in Michigan, but the moms don't answer the calendar activities or the post. I hope they start doing it :) |

| I just joined a group and I like it, but I also think that meeting with just friends once in awhile is a good thing. |

| Im so confused that so many said it is great for moms and parents...I have tried setting a playdate on this site and others and no response! Can anyone tell me why? |

| the play groups I have found have a yearly fee and you can travel as far as 45 miles away to the dates. with gas prices the way they are I can't afford to get in the car and drive 45 miles to and from a two hour or less play date. not to mention pay for a day trip if that's what they are doing that day. I have posted in a few places here in hopes of getting some other moms close to me interested in meet ups together. |

| I have started my own group even if people don't actually join it keeps me motivated to plan fun places to visit with my son and get myself out of the house. 2 weeks from now we are going to plan on getting a tour from a local farm. |

| i would love 2 be a part of a playgroup i have five little ones and i dont get out much it would be nice to get a chance 2 hang out with some other adults, but i dont know of any in the philadelphia area so if anybody knows of some playgroups in philadelphia please let me know. |

you put in key words for groups in your area... everything from moms of boys to jewelry makers to thrifty shoppers... I'm apart of a moms group on there and have really enjoyed meeting other moms and having activities to go to with my girls. |

Yes i like playgroups but im having a hard time finding some that live near me. i have a 2y son and a 7month old daughter. i live in sherwood.
