My oldest was saying mama at about 6 months. I think my middle was starting to talk at about 8 months. My youngest is 7.5 months now and hasn't said anything yet, so who knows when she'll get around to it. Right now, she's practically walking though!!!!!

My son was saying the usual momma and dadda when he was younger, same with my daughter, but they were about nine months when they were saying other words.

Both my children (ages 4 and 2) are very late talkers. My 4 year old is autistic too, so that didn't help matters. My son is now 2 and is talking somewhat clearly, but not completely yet. My daughter doesn't talk very clearly yet either.

My oldest didn't start talking until almost 10 months, but she was very active and was walking right around 9.5 months. My youngest on the other hand developed his own language around 4 months and never really gave it up;-/
