Pampers work best for girls, Huggies work best for boys!!

I can't say that the store brand work better, but there was a point when I had 2 girls in diappers at the same time.
I didn't really have a choice other than to put them in the store brand.
We used the Walmart brand. You could get something like 35 diappers for $6. They worked just fine, too.

I use Huggies and love them. I started using them because at the time my daughter was born just 2 years ago they were the only ones that I knew of that had Newborn/premies. Not that my daughter was premature but that she was so small that she was in Newborns until she was almost 5 months old. She is now 2 and still wears a size 2. I chose to stick with one brand because my niece and nephew were both allergic to everything but store brand so my sister loves store brand diapers. I guess its just a matter or prefrenece as to which you use for your child.

Luvs have never let me down, and when I buy in bulk, are actually cheaper than the generic ones.

Target brand ones are just as good as name brand, without as many toxic fragrances. The name brand ones actually give my littles terrible rashes! I'd really like to get them in some good quality cloth diapers, but I can't afford the investment at this time, even though that would be cheaper and healthier in the long run.

Pampers have worked the best for my son. I tried store brand, I found they wouldn't fit him right or didn't hold up as well.

Pampers worked good until he went into the pull ups then I got hooked on Huggies

I usually use huggies they are great but I bought pampers recently and they work great too so I am stuck between both those brands but I would never buy a store brand unless I had to because they don't hold up as great.

Pampers have always worked best for me. I tried a few different kinds on my son and pampers were the only ones that fit right and didn't leak.

I used pampers when she was in diapers, now that she is in pull ups I like Huggies better.

Yeah, I never had a problem with store brand for either of my girls. And they cost half the price.

I tried everything with my son and he leaked through all of them, so I went to store brand and they work great

We actually tried Pamper, Huggies, and Luvs (were all given to us) when daughter was a newborn. I found the tabs on Pampers were too short, though I liked the soft cloth-like feel of the diaper itself, it seemed so gentle. Luvs had a horrible strong perfumey odor and they fit kind of awkward on her (too wide). Huggies have fit the best on her and leaked the least-often, so we have stuck with it, though I am tempted to try the store brand (Target, Kirkland, whatever) becaue the Huggies are more expensive.

I have tried all kinds of brands but the ones that i like the most and work just as good as the $$$ ones ... i use Parents Choice diapers from Walmart...Its way better to pay $6 a bag instead of $15

We have found that Seventh Generation makes AMAZING diapers.. They 90% recycled free from unnessasary chemicals and have reduced out little mans rashes by 80%

This is a good question, since I think I have tried every brand out there. I have two boys, and huggies works OK, but doesn't hold up as long as Pampers cruisers, expecially crawlers or walkers.

We found the Target brand to be equvialent with the Pampers Swaddlers, and a TON cheaper.

I have used Huggies, Pampers, Luvs, White Cloud, Target & Publix brands on my little girl who is now 19 months. Pampers were ok, but leaked almost every time. Hated Luvs with a passion, they leak & don't fit right at all! We have pretty much stuck to Huggies through out because she rarely got a rash and they held up soooo well. Publix brand we tried recently and they work pretty well except overnight when they leaked so bad her pj's & bed were wet. I just bought some White Cloud Supreme diapers & they have been just great! I had a couple leak episodes with Huggies, but White Cloud seems to hold much more and they have not leaked yet overnight! I got them from Wal-Mart and they were $13.98 for I think 65 size 5 diapers, which is better than what it cost for either Huggies or Pampers.

I agree with a couple of the other moms...I think Pampers work best for girls while Huggies work best for boys!

Pampers always leaked out the back, so we've been very satisfied with Huggies. I call them magic diapers because they've held up so well!

I have tried almost everything. For my baby shower I had people bring a package of diapers to be entered to win a prize(great way to get diapers). I found that the store brand diapers left my little girl with more of a rash than the name brand. If I had my choice, I would choose Pampers because I like the feel of them, but Huggies and Luvs are great as well.

I like huggies and pampers swaddlers. Swaddlers are the only way to go for a newborn!! But huggies are great after the first few months.

I THINK PAMPERS FOR GIRLS AND HUGGIES FOR BOYS BUT I THINK LITTLE TIKES ARE GREATE FOR BOTH BUT EXPENSIVE.

Pampers Swaddlers for newborns, Huggies with Hug-flex until 1 year or so, then Pampers Cruisers since then...my son is 17 months old now, and that's how it's been best for us.

Huggies for me definitely. The shape is less restrictive and bulky but very secure.

We've tried them all - I like Huggies "baby shape" diapers best right now. We had issues with my seventeen month old daughter's diapers leaking EVERY night. The Huggies that leaked were defective so I called the Kimberly company (Huggies parent company) and they sent me a coupon for a free box of diapers plus three $2 off coupons! The lady on the phone was SO NICE. She kept apologizing for our trouble and said things like, "your poor baby." Exactly what I needed to hear. We started using Huggies Overnights after that and those things are GREAT. I had to look around for them and they're expensive, but they're totally worth it. No more shivering little girl at 5 a.m. The Pampers have these very elastic strips and I kept accidentally snapping my poor baby's hip with them during diaper changes. The Target and Luvs brands are thin and I find myself using MORE of them, so I don't think it saves any money. I agree that Swaddlers are best for newborns. They were very soft, flexible and have a wonderful scent.

I like Pampers the best of all in all stages. I bought Huggies this time because there were a few more in the bag for the money, but I don't like the smell that they give off. This is my fourth child and I've done all the cheap routes because I had to, now that I can afford a good brand I can really tell the difference.

Got some free Huggies in the beginning, and tried them. Awful! Leaked. Tried them a couple times and they leaked every time! I use Pampers. They have only leaked like twice, and that was due to my husband not putting the diaper on my daughter properly. Oh and my daughter is 11months old and never had a diaper rash! I also prefer the Pampers Sensitive wipes. THey are a lot softer than the other wipes.

My husband prefers Pampers - ENOUGH SAID - we buy pampers!

Pampers has never let us down, no leakage what so ever.

I like the pampers A LOT mainly because they are so stretchy(not the baby dry those suck) I tried like 5 brands when my son was first born and the only ones that fit him right were the pampers so we stayed with them and now he's in the size 3(yea at 4months)

I like pamper swaddler fom newborn and pamper baby dry after that they are the only ones that fit around my daughter's skinny waist and everything eles falls off of her(size 4 at 12 1/2 months).

With my first son I used Pampers, I swore by them as Huggies seem to leak on the younger babies. My second son was in pampers up until the size two and we had to switch to another brand because I found that Pampers was causing a horrible diaper shaped rash everywhere the diaper touched. My doctor had me try another brand and now that he is 8 months he fits better in the huggies and now they don't leak and no more permanent rash!! :)

Be environmentally responsible. Use g-diapers.
http://www.gdiapers.com/
They work great and are even better (environmentally) than using cloth diapers (more convenient too).

I use Huggies diapers only because I seem to only get coupons for them in the mail and and my grocery store only put Huggies on sale. They seem to work just fine for my daughter . But I ONLY use pampers wipes. The Huggies box of wipes doesn't have the rubber things like Pampers does and when the wipes don’t always catch, your hand doesn't fit past the little opening so your spending more of your time having to open the box and grab a wipe. And when u have a half naked 17 month old its just easier to get the better brand of wipes :)

The point is not to have them hold up the longest. That's not cool. Babies shouldn't be left in teir urine and or poop. It didn't matter what brand to me. When my daughter was new born she was in pampers baby dry and swaddlers. then when those ran out (from the babyshower packs) we strated buying store brank from wal-mart. Worked fine and they were cheaper.

Luvs have been the best for us. Pampers Swaddlers are great but a bit more for our tight budget. Huggies leak horribly on our son and the Parent's Choice and Target are hard and don't fit well as well as cause a little rash. Target worked decently when he was tiny.

I have tried all of the above choices and My son was allergic to luvs and huggies and the store brand leak very badly so when my daughter was born we naturally used pampers and now she goes half and half with pampers and cloth!

We usually go with White Cloud from walmart. I have 2 in diapers right now and they seem to work the best with both girls and they are cheaper!!

I have tried them all but have stuck w pampers! Store brands have no shape and leak everywhere! Huggies are too bulky and not stretchy. I used to like Luvs but they have changed here recently. So back to Pampers for us. I like them because they are thin and flexible and soft. They seem like the perfect fit for a active toddler!

i started out using huggies, and then i went to store brand, and then to pampers. I always heard pampers went good but now they are the only ones that hold good for my twins.

I love Huggies, but needed to cut our budget a lttle and switched to pampers which are just as good. My advice: I did not like Market Basket brand at all.

In my opinion luvs are great because there low in price and there leak protection is great.

Luvs are wonderful and great price. Pampers are good but a bit more expensive. Huggies always leaked for my daughter. As far as store brands, Target UP AND UP worked great for us as well as Costco diapers... but mostly we stuck to Luvs.
