What to Expect
EVERY STUDENT LEARNS OUTSIDE
Mustang Sally’s has teamed up with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources to provide the community with “Project Learning Tree” and “Project wild” an environmental education program that strives to
teach students HOW to think, NOT WHAT to think about the environment.
Students will have hands-on learning about the environment, horticulture, and outdoor recreation. At the same time they will gain skills with basic yard and hand tools, creating projects like: birdhouses and up-cycling various items to take home. All while learning how important team work and good work ethics that can be carried throughout their life.

Kids should expect to be outside. Sessions will take place in the woods, garden and various stops throughout the property. Kids will be able to get dirty, jump in the ponds to cool off, work on building a real Tee-pee, exercise, catch frogs, learn how to play sand volleyball, horseshoes, relay races, capture the flag, laugh, learn and create new friendships. At the same time, learning to respect the environment, community and themselves.
At the end of the 10 weeks we will host a family camp out! The kids will be able to take their family around the property and show them what they have learned. Joining us for a day of family fun that will consist of: camping, bon fire, food, games and some old fashion relay races.

Suitable for: boys and girls aged 8-13 yrs old
See also: outdoor recreation, day camp, environmental education, exercise camp
