Campers at the farm gain a unique opportunity to begin learning about environmental stewardship. Through the daily chores on the farm, they participate in the care and harvest of food, they are introduced to the importance of the land care required to produce the fresh vegetables that appear on the table at meal times. Food that travels the fewest miles to the table has the greatest nutritional value, another teachable moment reinforced by everyday life at Farm Camp.
