futuristic romance--1 1/2 stars. I almost put this one down a trillion times with no intention of picking it back up. I felt like it was a cheap, unworthy knockoff of Marion Zimmer Bradley's Darkover books. Celta was very similar socially to Darkover. The romance in this book felt very forced to me, and since it was the main storyline of the book, without a strong secondary plot, it really wasn't worth my time. I didn't ever really care what happened to the characters either. T'Ash was too cavemanish, without any sort of charm to make up for it, and Danith just felt like a victim, not even a victim OF anything, just of life, which made her really annoying to me.
