A little movie is clearly useful in any moment of crisis. However, I would use it only for " emergency dramas". The idea of the road trip is also to do something different than usual such as games, singing or looking at the panorama. It is important to remember to choose calm movie, avoid Kung Fu Panda or something that put them in an active mood.
