Starting Position
Sit on the floor with feet firmly planted and leaning back so that your upper body is approximately 45 degrees to the floor. Hold a medicine ball in front of you, trying to keep your arms as straight as possible but not locked. Have your knees bent naturally.
Action
Rotate your upper body to the right as far as comfortably possible. Return to center pausing very briefly to ensure proper form. Rotate your upper body to the left as far as comfortably possible. Your feet should remain on the floor with your knees flexed during the exercise.
Special Instructions
You can also do this exercise by holding onto a dumbbell, or nothing at all. You can progress in this exercise by increasing the weight you hold.
