My name is Caitlin Malloy and I am a former teacher who now works in the Brain and Cognitive Sciences department at MIT. I wanted to invite your children to come participate in studies at our lab in Cambridge. Participating in studies can be a fun and educational way for children to experience "real-world" science, to meet "real-life" scientists, and most of all (at least in the case of our studies), to learn about their own brains, which control every little thing that they do!
Descriptions of our studies and what we do are listed on our website: http://kidsbrains.mit.edu/
Currently, we are especially looking for some typically-developing 10-12 year-old boys to be controls in our brain development study of childhood autism. However, we have new studies opening up all the time, and can use children of all ages and genders, so if your child might be interested in visiting us at MIT, please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions at 617-800-6008 or ctm@mit.edu.
