Don't use your real phone number. Unless you either want to hear from the company or need to verify your identity in order to take advantage of an offer, use a different number. There are some great sites you can use to get another phone number. Numbr and Ringtonumber are free services that allow you to obtain a new phone number and check your voicemail online. Yahoo Voice is good pay service option, starting at a low $2.99/month for the same features. There are many others out there, but these are the ones we have had the most success with.
Create an extra email address. This will help to not only have one place to keep track of all of your offers, but will keep any spam you might receive from filling up your regular email account. Sites like Yahoo Mail, Hotmail and Gmail are just a few of the numerous free email services out there you can use.
Think of a business name. Many offers require you to have a business name when applying, as some companies do not like to send to individuals.
Use your web browser's autofill feature. Some browsers come with an autofill feature that can automatically fill in any forms you come across with the same information. Looking for a good solution? We highly recommend Firefox with Google Toolbar.
Endless survey with participation in certain offers NEVER come, they are a scam. So don't bother.
Generally speaking, if an offer is too good to be true, it is!! there are many put out there that are data collectors and will hit you with a ton of spam. so take care in what you apply for.
Don't apply for an offer if you are not going to use it. That is not fair to the company.
In most cases it is just better to send the link to your friends and family and let them order their own freebies. Many companies track your IP and then none of you will get your sample. This is very frustrating.
If the company is a small mom and pop business, don't ask for a sample if you definitely are not going to be interested in what they are selling. This is not fair. This includes Mary Kay and Avon samples. the reps have to pay for these themselves. Please be conciderate of this when asking for a free sample.
