This a start up group that primarily consists of 3-5 year olds but is welcoming to all age groups. We meet every Thursday from 10:00am-11:30am in northern CO Sprgs. We currently have 13 kiddos in our group which includes siblings. Siblings range in age from newborn to 12.
This is a casual group that is semi structured but always open to suggestions and change. There is a "come when you can" policy and understanding that we are all on toddler time!
Some have experienced rank systems in other groups... you won't find that in our group! We're just there to socialize, be supportive, and most importantly have fun with our kids:-)!
This playgroup is open to moms, dads, grandparents, and caretakers alike; working or stay at home; married or single; from a variety of backgrounds, beliefs, and age groups.
During play dates, the kids play with their friends at the park and also have the option of participating in a simple project or activity. Activities are fairly age neutral, though they are geared towards younger children. You can check out our calendar for details.
We each bring a snack for our own kids until we've established exactly how many little ones to expect, at which point, we can each take a turn bringing a healthy snack for the group. All caretakers contribute to projects by bringing inexpensive, easy to find, household items like empty Mayo jars when needed and as they are able. We're planning a completely optional group field trip sometime this summer.
Our group has a Facebook page where you can find and post free/low cost family events and resources in the CS area. From this page, there is also a discussion board, complete with a recipe swap, coupon sharing, family favorites, parenting advise, and so much more!
