I don't know where I can take my 20 month old grandaughter to play with other children. Is there any place, free, I can take her to? I tried the Fontana Library but they are filled up at this time.
If your looking or just plain social interaction the best place is you local playgrounds and park. However if your looking for a more standardized social group i.e. where your granddaughter sees the same kids regularly create one in your area! My mother used to take her daycare to the McD's in our area with some stay at home moms once a week and let the kids run amoke in the playplace. I know thats not exactly free but it can be done inexpensively if you order off the dollar menu and bring your granddaughter her own juice.
Also check with local High Schools, the one I went to had a pre-school program for the child education students. They accepted children ages two to four for three days a week for about $50 a week. Still not exactly free but a great way to meet other parents!
Post back if you find a good solution to share with us because I'm interested too in what free activities there are out there for little ones!
