Violence on women

These days the press is back talking about battered women and abusive relationships which is still an epidemic in our society. The case of Chris Brown shows that the phenomenon crosses all ages and socio-economic situations and can happen to anybody.

A very interesting statistique is that 80-90% of the inmate male population comes from abusive homes. The violence affects directly and immediately women but affect boys later in life too.

What would you do if you knew of anyone battered? Is it right to get involved? Would you fear that if you get involved the batterer could turn against you?
