Help. My 9 month old will not use a cup.

I have two children ages 9 months and 2 years. My two year old learned to drink from a sippy cup at 4 months and a straw at 5 months and gave up his bottle cold turkey on his first birthday. My daughter will chew on the straw or sippy spout but will not drink from her cup we have been working on it for a long time and she just isn't getting it. Our doctor recommended taking a week or two off and then try and take another week off so we tried that and we tried 8 diffrent sippy cups including straws, hard spout and soft spout. I don't know what else I should try?

Every baby is different..and when she is ready to use it she will...maybe she is getting stressed out about it to the point where she doesnt even want to bother..i think if you just be patient she will take it...but i think its always a bad thing to push your baby to do something just because your other child did it faster.

It's not so much that she needs to do it because he did it but her birthday is coming up and she has to be using a cup because I am a firm believer in takeing the bottle away at 12 months
