I Think My Baby Might Be Lactose Intolerance
My 11 month old started having problems soon after she was born, she would clench her belly and scream all night long. Now she wan;t my first, so I knew something was wrong. On our own,  my hubby and I decided to change her formula. This happened a few times. The similac advanced soy, worked! Yay! Then came the time when she should have been eating solids, she wouldn;t eat off a spoon, so we went with fingers foods. Very hard. We tried to upgrade her to the same formula, but go and go, and the screaming started again. Lactose runs in my family, along with a lot of other allergies. I myself, am allergic to chocolate, and her dad is allergic to bees. I keep her away from milk, butter, anything that she might be allergic to. She was eating those veggie ritz crackers, the store had run out, so we got regular ones, and the screaming started again!! We don't sleep. I'm so stressed out! Any thoughts? My mom says to make a list, and I have somewhat, but people don't seem to understand  her condition and always give her stuff, so she goes nowhere without me. She can eat cheerios at this point without screaming. I'm afraid to take her to her one year appointment and have the doctor tell me to try putting her on  milk!!

My daughter has struggled with stomach issues literally since the night she was born. We have been working with a pediatric Gastro dr. I would find one in your area and talk to them, they can do blood work & stool samples to look for allergies and anything else that may cause it. My dr. said that a lot of kids who are allergic to lactose are allergic to soy products as well.
Anyway, as a first time mom who has had the run around my main suggestion is to go to a specialist & go from there!
Good Luck,
Lindsay B.
