I'm looking for advice about what neighborhoods to live in and meet other parents of young kids.  My husband will be working near West University and we're not sure where to search for a new home.  He doesn't want to drive to far, and I want to find friends for me and my 3 1/2 year old (and soon to be newborn).

Any suggestions of good family friendly areas inside Houston?
