teething can start at anytime my son had 4 teeth by 4 months my daughter got her first 4 at 8 months but was "teething" since about 4-5 months. It is all genetic some teeth early some don't get any teeth at all till after a year old. Most likely the baby is probably starting to teeth, just be patient and remember that it can be a long process. Try not to do orajel before any feedings because it can numb the throat and they can choke.
good luck

Thanks, for the orajel advice i didn't know that and i have been using it before feedings. At feedings he is more focused on biting the bottle nipple than actually drinking.

My children generally started teething around 5 months, but I had a friend whose son cut 4 teeth at a time starting at 4 months.
