Dollar stores have tons of stuff!!! and you can goggle baby shower games and it has tons of ideas. A friend of mine on the invitations put for everyone that brings a pack of diapers they are entered in a raffle for a cool prize. I think it was like a $20 giftcard to Applebees or with todays economy a gas card or grocery store GC would be cool. They have games that you can play like bingo. At the dollar store they also have games and so does places like party city.

The last baby shower that I threw was for a really close friend of the family. She took really good care of her self eating all the right foods and only drank water.(pre-pregnancy) she loved soda pop. I made all her favorite foods, pasta dishes, and pinswheels. She also had a thing for pickles (which she hated pickles before baby) then she wants choc. pudding with them. So I went to Sams and got the biggest jar of pickles and pudding I could find. I had some of the dishes made at our local deli.i.e. sandwich trays and dips. I could have done everything my self but, I worked at least 50+ hrs outside the home. We had the cake brought in as well. (mom to be had connections) This may sound silly to you, we had rented a cotton candy machine as well as a popcorn maker and an icee maker. Each of them only cost for one day around 30$. There were about 75 adults with 30 kids so the idea was to make it a really big party. Most her family aunts uncles cousins and mother traveled over 1000 miles took vacations to be here. We played: blind fold mommy and daddy and have them dress and change a baby doll. And some other pretty common games. I don't know how much time you want to put into this. How much time do you have to plan.If there are going to be children there I highly suggest you get some games for them to play. Target has some cheap stuff.

One fun game that we played at my sister's baby shower was to buy tons of diaper pins and give one to each woman, then every time someone catches another person crossing their legs/ankles/etc, they take that person's pin. At the end of the day, whoever has the most pins wins a prize. It's super fun, and harder than you'd expect. I lost in like, five minutes. :)

Hey is brenda from our playgroup. At my shower, we played name that nursery rhyme. On one side you take a line from a nursery rhyme and you have to guess what one it is from. it was really fun. If you need any more help, let me know and i can see what i can do. bingo is a great one...it gets people involved with the gift opening. Oh you can also get diaper (5 to 10) and open them up, smear baby food in them and play guess the baby food. its really fun because they are smeard in the diaper so it look gross. I threw a shower for a girlfriend and we had each person make a page for a scrap book. i went to michaels and got some things. at the end she had a really nice premad scrap book...all she had to do was put some pics in. Good Luck!!

a great game is make a bunch of triangle papers and then draw a line down the center then across so you have bloke of 4 then you cut out numbers from one to 10 and place them in a bowl.. tell your guest to put numbers from one to ten in the tringle that you have already blocked off ..so now you areplaying my diaper is full bingo... when you call out the numbers the first person that has crossed out all the numbers has to jump up and say my diaper is full!
