Baby Does Not Sleep At Night-Gripe Water??

I know they say newborns don't have a schedule but why is it that my 1 month old has suddenly started sleeping mostly throughout the day and then stays awake at night. She wakes up on cue every night at 12 midnight.

Also has anyone used Little Tummies Gripe Water. It has ginger and fennel..not sure if it even works at all..I didn't want to get the ones with the alcohol.

 my blog is at http://mommyscircle.typepad.com/blog/

Sometimes they just go back to the tummy schedule.... being active at night my Dr. told me to just keep her awake as much as possible during the day and try to switch her back, it took about a week but it worked. good luck
i have never heard of that stuff BTW

She may have her days and nights confused, my twins did for the first several weeks. I bought a sound machine to play at night and I left the nursery curtains open during daytime naps. It worked.

That happened to my daughter who is 11 weeks old. I finally figure out she had a problem with her formula. She was not digesting properly so she would stay up at night. I am not sure if she moves alot in her sleep. But that is what i noticed during the day time when she was sleeping. Finally the Doctor changed her formula and gave her a reflux medication.....now she sleeps at night.

I was an auntie before I was a mommy. I was told "whatever schedule you train baby to have, starts from day one". I now have five children. They all had a 4 hr schedule-woke them every 4 hrs to play, until it went to 6hrs, now they sleep 8-10hrs with a nap during the day. Whenever they get off their schedule, they are not happy. So whatever hours work for you, be consistent, and you will all be happy. God Bless.

No experience with Tummie Gripe Water.
