HAIR LOSS |
Anyone out there who can offer me some advice? I AM LOSING MY HAIR! I went to the doctor and she told me that I am not losing enough hair to justify doing anything about it and it will correct itself in time, once my body heals from the stress of having a C-Section. I had my son 10 months ago and ever since my hair is falling out! I can't do anything without strands of it falling everywhere. It ends up in my food, in my son's hands, stuck to my clothes. I know hair falls out regularly and in cycles, but this cannot be normal. I have handfuls of it in the shower and anytime I touch my head, I end up with a handful of hair. Its disgusting and my hair looks so thin and broken when it used to be full and soft! What do I do? |

Meredith, I'm right there with you. I had my son by C-section 1 1/2 year ago and my hair is still falling out. And when you find the answer let me know so that I can do the same thing.

Hi Meredith. I went through this even though I didn't have a C-Section. I started loosing hair at about 4 months postpardum. When I would wash it, it would come out in huge chunks! the hair loss was most noticable around my face. It lasted for about 4 months. It has now stopped on its own and the broken pieces have begun to grow back. I'm sorry I don't have any advice. When I called my doctor's office in a panic, they just told me that it was normal and it would stop eventually. They defined eventually as 2-6 months or more depending on the person. Great advice, huh! Well, eventually it did stop on its own, so hopefully it will for you too. |
