Toys in the USA
Well Christmas time is coming and my daughter will be 7 months at Christmas. We all know what that means, every toy goes in the mouth, anything she can get her hands one. I have to confess the idea of buying toys made in China is starting to freak me out.  Does anyone have any suggestions on good toys for a 7 month old little girl and where to buy one thats made in the USA or at the very least NOT China?? Please help, I want to make her Christmas special and have safe toys for her to play with.

I am so eager to see if anyone else has suggestions for you. I have been facing the same problem. I have an 8 month old and looking for toys is horrible. I feel like the toy stores should have a section of "toys not made in China." It is terrifying to me how many toys have been recalled and that there are basically no safety standards.
I know that there are smaller companies that you can find online that sell organic toys or all natural. They are more expensive and there is not as much selection. Lots of wooden blocks. But maybe doing some internet searching would help.

Well I've basically given up on looking for toys made in the USA.. I've been asking family for toys that are not Fisherprice or Matel...it seems like those to are the most common for recalls. I bought some Lamaze toys and toys from Target that are either made by or recommended by 'Parents' because I've never hear of a recall. I'm hoping that means they are safer!
